dress: c/o ModCloth (similar) // shoes: No.6 c/o Shopbop // earrings: Elizabeth Volk // clutch: vintage

I have been wanting to shoot on top of this particular parking garage in downtown Austin for such a long time and it was just as magical as I’d dreamed it would be! The colors of the city during golden hour were so warm and beautiful. I wish I could say I had planned this outfit to match intentionally, but it actually just happened to work out!
This dress has turned into quite the closet workhorse. In late-summer/early-fall last year, I wore it two ways (here), once with lace-up heeled sandals and later with a denim jacket, booties, and a bandana. Then in the winter I wore it layered over a striped turtleneck with tights, boots, and a hat. Whether I’m headed to a wedding, out to dinner, or popping over to an event, this dress has a slightly dressy feel without getting into overdressed territory.
While ModCloth doesn’t have this exact dress anymore, they have one in an extremely similar silhouette (perfect for fellow short-torsoed ladies!) in a variety of floral prints. I’ve got my eye on the hibiscus print, which would obviously be less seasonally ambiguous, but its cuteness definitely makes up for that!

Do you have a multi-occasion dress on hand? Tell me about it!
