may small goals

Oh hey, May! Once it got to be the last week of April, I kept thinking “tomorrow” was the start of a new month, but I had a few more days to wait. Then when I was writing blog posts for this week, I was knocking out outfit posts left and right, when all of a sudden I realized that the first day of the month happens to also be the first Monday of the month, meaning it’s time for a few new small goals!
Before heading into May’s goals, here’s what I got up to in April:
1. spring clean | So…I cleaned the things I intended to (closet, bookshelf, overall house), but then we moved a bunch of stuff out of my grandparents’ home into my home and I’ve got boxes everywhere. I’m saying “yes” because I did actually spring clean, even though it may not look like it!
2. finish writing two sections of my workbook | DONE! Even better, I finished writing the whole darn thing!!!
3. do a daily tarot reading | done! This was so fun and I’m going to keep it up! I’ll be sharing a little about my current morning routine soon!
4. stop unnecessary add-on purchases | done! As you saw in my April budget update, I only brought home a few pieces, all of which I’m excited about! I actually think I may have broken the habit altogether (here’s to hoping)!
5. finish as many of my remaining 27 before 27 list as possible | not really? I don’t think I actually completed any more of these goals besides the workbook, but, like, I don’t feel bad about that. More on this later this month!
4 outta 5 ain’t bad! Here’s what’s on deck for May!
1. make the final edits on Feel Good, Dress Better and begin the pre-launch process | I finished writing the workbook this weekend!!! It’s currently in beta testing stage, but by the end of the month I’ll be in the pre-launch period. So much work to do!
2. start creating premium content for Breakfast for Dinner | Because I can’t ever just have one project going at a time, Dago and I decided we want to introduce premium content to our podcast schedule! This will include things like our Bachelor/ette recaps, movie and album reviews, etc. Big things coming for ole BFD!
3. book and plan our six-year anniversary trip for June | You may remember that Dago ruptured his Achilles’ tendon this time last year, which meant that we didn’t get to go on the trip we planned for our five-year anniversary. I’ve been excited for a whole year to make up for it! We’re headed to Port Aransas and Rockport, which is along the coast of Texas. Dago has never been and I haven’t been since I was a kid, so I’m really looking forward to it!
4. put together my 28 before 28 birthday bucket list | Dang, I have so many goals to come up with! What should I do before I turn 28?
5. surround myself with love on my birthday | Is this really a goal? I’ve got so much going on this month that I’m going to keep it easy for the last one! I tend to get a little stressed about my birthday (for no good reason), so this year I’m just going to use it as an excuse to spend time with people I love.
