I want to start the new year off on a good blogging foot with an outfit post! I’m going to work really hard this year to take more outfit photos and focus on putting together bloggable outfits. These are really the two things that keep me from doing more outfit posts. One, my schedule doesn’t really allow me to take photos all the time. The other major thing is mental. Though I spend a lot of time putting together my outfits every day, I don’t always feel like my outfits are special enough to be blogged or that they photograph very well. When I start thinking about it, I get really self-conscious and enter some pretty heavy blogger envy. Blogging is about loving your self and exploring something you love, so I’m going to work on that. Here goes.
Over the weekends, I stay with the boyfriend. I am notoriously bad at packing for the weekends. I don’t like to plan out outfits for the weekend per se because I don’t want to be limited in what I can wear. What if we end up downtown? What if we go to the park? What if I stay in bed all day? I want to be prepared, so I pack a bunch of random things. Things that don’t necessarily go together. Like this outfit! In the light of my own apartment, I surely would not have thought to layer my button down over my sweater and I wouldn’t have paired either with this skirt, but it was cold this morning when I went to brunch and this is what I wore.
Check that yeah-I-slept-in-this-braid-last-night hair stuffed under Dago’s beanie. Hot.
